Holly graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech and then completed her dietetic internship at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals (now called VCU Health). Holly currently resides in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she owns Be Balanced Nutrition, LLC, a private practice specializing in integrative nutrition care for all ages. She has over 15 years of experience working with acutely ill children in several large health systems and has been a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition since 2006. She has served as a subject matter expert for the Commission on Dietetic Registration's Pediatric Specialty Exam and has been a member of the advisory committee for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro's Dietetic Internship Program. She became a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND) in 2015. She is actively involved with the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group (PNPG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics having served as chair during 2015-16 in addition to being the editor of two quarterly publications including the peer-reviewed PNPG Building Block for Life. She is also a member of the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM) dietetic practice group and copy editor for DIFM’s newsletter The Integrative RDN. Holly is a dynamic speaker and dedicated leader with a passion for healthy living and for her family. Outside of nutrition, she spends her time raising two boys and teaching Pilates, TRX, and barre group fitness classes.
